Rip off

I bought this item along with the "In Quest of the Stars and Galaxies". Both books are just the first few chapters of "In Quest of the Universe" and some other chapters that are specific to either the solar system or stars and galaxies. Even if you look at the table of contents on either item you will notice the chapters and page numbers jumping around. These were supposed to accompany the original text, which is impossible seeing how they are copied and pasted versions of the original text. Zero new information! Save money and just buy "In Quest of the Universe" (which is a great text in itself!)

Excellent source of information. Well organized book with maps for each section. Fold out maps on each cover with a pull-out in back are all very helpful. It came in especially handy while planning the trip but was also useful while there. Small enough to fit in your jacket or bag.

Easy-Peasy

My colleague and I were able to spend an extra couple days in London during a business trip, and we ordered this at the VERY last minute. Thanks to Amazon for getting it to us shortly before our flight left... and thanks to Eyewitness for helping make our trip EASY! The book includes Top 10 lists for each area of London, as well as things like "Top 10 Kid-friendly Activities", "Top 10 Free Activities," etc. We referred to this guide constantly! And, as always, Eyewitness has beautiful pictures and a very concise design.

This is my second Eyewitness Top 10 Guide (have Venice as well) and I'll definitely keep looking for them when I travel!

Just Jesus' Words...Period.
I love how the last third "Just Jesus" is Jesus' Words separated into categories,
from anxiety to forgiveness, anything you can imagine, where Jesus spoke about that particular subject.

What means the most to me about Just Jesus is having answers to real life issues that offer me practical life applications. I love that i can read a little bit every day in regards to having a specific feeling that day.. it really gives me a sense of peace and guidance reading Jesus' words. A Seminary Student's Review of "Just Jesus: His Living Words"

"Just Jesus: His Living Words" contains the words and sayings of Jesus as they appear in the Bible. Since the 1899 publication of Klopsch's "Red-letter" edition of the New Testament, faithful Christians have reliably located with great ease the words spoken directly from the mouth of Jesus in the Bible. Unfortunately, Red-letter Bibles, as they have become known, seem to have received less attention from publishers, and thus they can be hard to find among newer translations. Klopsch explains his theoretical approach to the Red-letter Bible writing,"Modern Christianity is striving zealously to draw nearer to the great Founder of the Faith. Setting aside mere human doctrines and theories regarding Him, it presses close to the Divine Presence, to gather from His own lips the definition of His mission to the world and His own revelation of the Father." It seems Lindsey Clifford too has made this the impetus for her work on "Just Jesus." Thus, in making the words of Jesus incredibly accessible to an entirely new generation, Lindsey Clifford has keenly assisted the Church and those searching for answers concerning who Jesus was.

After receiving my copy in the mail and unwrapping the packaging, immediately the exquisite cover decorated with the "Just Jesus" logo (designed by Kurt Wenner!) struck me. It is a powerful image containing many versions of the cross conglomerated into a whole. Though there are differences between sections and denominations of Christianity, we each find our place and Christian identity in the Cross, and the logo on the front cover is a solemn reminder of this reality. But we also find ourselves in the words of Jesus in Holy Scripture that are laid out for us by Dr. Clifford. "Just Jesus" is separated into two main sections: (1) words Jesus spoke as found in the Gospels, Acts, Second Corinthians, and Revelation and (2) a section entitled, "Answers for Life." It is in this latter section that Dr. Clifford arranges the words of Jesus topically. Therein, one can find the powerful and mighty words of Jesus in a way that relates to every day life (i.e. worship, prayer, redemption, depression, suicide and a litany of others). In addition to the main sections, Dr. Clifford has included sections on using the book, on knowing Jesus, and information about the "Just Jesus" logo.

As a seminary student who has committed his life to the study of Scripture and to becoming more Christ-like, to me "Just Jesus" is exactly what the Church needs. The Church is not a collection of perfect people; rather, we hurt, cry, struggle, and fall into slumps, but in those moments there is no greater anchor to stop the wayward ships (that we are) from floating into dangerous waters than the words of Jesus. He says to the storms, "Peace! Be still!" (Mark 4:39). And we, like the disciples around Jesus respond, "Who is this?" To discover that we all must encounter Jesus through His words. About the Author

Chafetz secretly met with Abramoff for two years, prior to and during his imprisonment, without the knowledge of federa prosecutors. Attorney Don Brown graduated from Harvard Law School, as a classmate of the President of the United States, Barack Obama. In his third-year law-school thesis--written in 1989 and now housed in the permanent collection at the Harvard Law School Library--Brown predicted that Obama would become president of the United States.
